Avisha Foundation is a non-profit organization created by an Indian-American brother and sister dedicated to fundraising money for the hungry in India. As children, we travelled to our grandfather's village in Gujarat, India and always came across people who worked hard but were still struggling to make their ends meet. After visiting India numerous times, we decided in 2021 that we wanted to do something for these people. We were able to raise donations for an entire year before we went to India the next time. From these donations, we personally made staple food kits and handed them to daily-wage worker families in Gujarat, India. We were able to do the same in 2023. Our goal is to raise more funds so that we are able to help feed villages beyond our grandfather's village. Our mission is to alleviate hunger and provide support to those in need to making a meaningful impact in the lives of underprivileged communities.
